Can you feel it? JapanXReader

The door closed with a quiet thud. Kiku had just got back from a hard day at work and didn't want to make a huge fuss. He smiled when he saw the kitchen light on. You were making what smelled like dinner. The Cd player was playing quietly and he couldn't quite decifer what was playing. He placed his breifcase on the table and walked over to the doorway.

There you were wearing a pair of (j/c) jeans and a (f/c) t-shirt. He smiled even more when he saw that you had borrowed the hat off his cleaning outfit to tie back your long (h/c) hair. You were also wearing a food stained white apron with the red circle of his flag on your chest. From what he could tell, it wasn't japanese food you were cooking, but a simple stirfry with a sauce of honey, lemon and ginger. Not that he minded. Anything cooked by you tasted amazing. There was also a small undertone of chocolate too.

You felt someone watching you and you turned around, a home-made pocky stick hanging out of your mouth. You smiled and held out another stick to Kiku.
"Okaerinasai." You said, before going back to the stirfry. Kiku smiled at your formal greeting. He walked over to you and placed a hand on your back.
"Smerr's rovery." He said. You looked at him.
"That's good, it'll be done soon."
"I was tarking about you, but the food smerrs nice aswerl." You giggled. He knew you loved it when he pulled cheesy lines like that.

You began humming along to the music and only then did Kiku realise what you were listening to. You were a sucker for Disney songs, especially the Lion King.

Kiku looked over at you and smiled. He never admitted it, but he had a thing for this song. The amount of times you had played it, the lyrics were imprinted into his mind.

"So many things to terl her

He sang quietly into your ear. You hummed a sigh, you loved his singing voice.

"He's holding back, he's hiding
But what, I can't decide
Why won't he be the king I know he is?
The king I see inside?~" The smile on your face became wider and wider as the song went along. As cheesy as it was, you were enjoying every minute of it. You felt his arms wrap round your waist and his head rest on your shoulder. You placed your hands ontop of his, swaying with the rhythm of the song.

You felt Kiku nuzzle your neck before giving you a chaste kiss. You pressed your forehead against his, intimate moments like this were far and few between and you wanted to enjoy it for aslong as possible. He kissed you once more on the lips, then the cheek, before gently pulling away.
"I'rr go set the tabre." He said with a smile.
